What FXPathway is and why it exists

Sending money abroad should be simple. In reality, it rarely is.

When I first started moving money between the UK and Spain, I assumed comparing providers would be straightforward. It wasn't. Fees looked low, but the exchange rate was quietly worse than expected. Some comparison sites ranked providers without explaining why. And most guides didn't actually tell you how much money you'd receive on the other end.

That's why FXPathway exists.

Who built this

I'm a UK expat living in Barcelona. I work remotely for a UK employer and deal with GBP to EUR transfers regularly — so this isn't theoretical for me. The frustration was real: not being able to find a clear, honest comparison of what a transfer would actually cost.

I built FXPathway to be the resource I wished existed. No fluff, no vague rankings — just a clear explanation of what you'll actually receive and why.

This is an independent project — not backed by any transfer provider, bank, or financial institution.

Most comparison sites start with opinions. FXPathway starts with one simple number: how many euros do you actually receive?

That means factoring in both the visible fee and the exchange rate margin — at the same time, on the same amount. Because a provider with a low fee but a poor rate can be more expensive than one that shows the full cost upfront.

Where this is going
